Hello Montana!
FOUR SEASONS ARENA
GREAT FALLS, MT
SEPTEMBER 15, 2004
The Empty Terminal at SFO... Photo: T Shaw
Hello Friends,
We're in Great Falls, Montana this morning. All the other band members
flew in last night from their homes in Toronto, Los Angeles and Chicago.
I came in from Southern Oregon where Jeanne and I drove the morning
after our second show in Lincoln. We rented a car and drove down the
Oregon coast to Gold Beach and spent the next day there and in Brookings
enjoying the sights. In all our years of traveling we had never seen
the Oregon coast and it really was a feast for the senses. We still
love a good road trip and look forward to seeing the parts of Oregon
we still haven't seen, north of Lincoln City.
To get to great Falls meant getting up early yesterday morning in
Gold Beach, driving to Crescent City, California and catching one of
2 daily United flights to San Francisco. At that point Jeanne caught
the next flight to Los Angeles while I waited three hours to catch
a Delta Connection flight to Salt Lake City, where I met up with Daniel
and flew the last leg to Great Falls, arriving here around 9:00 PM.
While walking to Delta from the United terminal, I passed through something
I have never seen before, the modern equivalent of a ghost town. I
heard someone say it was the former International Delta Terminal but
there were no defining logos left anywhere on any of the check-in desks.
I had to take a photo (and artistic license). SPOOKY! A real sign of
the times in the airline industry, I suppose.
Now we're here and we are ready to ROCK!
See you tonight...
TS
