18-Jun-96 Even Mother Nature is a fan. The Friday night STYX show in Chicago at the World Music Stage in Tinley Park was as perfect an evening as the band has ever had in their hometown. Hundreds of band guests, and over 16,000 dedicated fans enjoyed the show under the best weather conditions of the year so far... --Styx Rocks Motor City... Saturday night in Detroit, Styx was joined onstage during the encore by Ted Nugent and turned the already smokin' "Renegade" into a real life "Free For All" the likes of which Detroit Styx fans have never seen. "It was the photo op of the year!" crowed STYX photographer Duane Sycz... --Go Bulls... Sunday evening as STYX members sat at their televisions watching the final Bulls game, it was fraught with ambivalence. On one hand, the band wanted their home team to win. On the other hand, had it gone to 7 games, STYX would have been there to sing the National Anthem. "We were relieved in a way," mused Todd Sucherman, "but it would have been an unforgettable experience AND we'd have had great seats!"
